The procurement cycle

1. Requirement and specification

   The need is defined with the user: technical specification, quantities, applicable standards and the date on which it is required on site.

2. Sourcing and quotation

   Qualified suppliers, national or international, are identified and their quotations are requested.

3. Evaluation and purchase

   The offers are compared on technical compliance, price, delivery time and guarantees, and the purchase order is issued.

4. Follow-up of the order

   The progress of manufacture and shipment is followed so that the delivery date is met.

5. Inspection and documentation

   What is received is verified against the order, with its quality certificates, test reports and manuals.

6. Transport and delivery

   Packing, transport, customs procedures when the item is imported, and delivery at the site.

7. Receipt and storage

   Reception, storage and preservation until installation, with the records that keep each item traceable.
