Wastewater Treatment Plants

Design, construction, rental and maintenance of plants that treat sewage, grey water and industrial water before discharge, with the engineering that makes them perform.

  • 3types of water treated: sewage, grey water and industrial water
  • Rentalplants also available for rent, besides their design, construction and maintenance
  • Aquifersplants to clean up contaminated groundwater

The service

Wastewater often requires treatment to remove solids, oils and greases, bacteria, chemicals and other substances before it is discharged to the environment. We provide a wide range of solutions and services to treat sewage and industrial water in compliance with government environmental regulations.

At Tanzaca Energy this service is available for oil and gas operations: fields, stations, plants, camps and operating bases.

  • Design, construction, rental and maintenance of treatment plants for sewage, grey water and industrial water
  • Engineering and know-how to bring each plant to its best performance
  • Plants for the remediation of underground aquifers
  • Products for the treatment of cooling water in towers and chillers

The water we treat

The plants are designed for three types of water: sewage, grey water and industrial water.

Good to know

Sewage

Water from toilets. It carries organic matter and bacteria, so its treatment relies on biological processes and disinfection.

Good to know

Grey water

Water from sinks, showers, kitchens and laundries. It carries soaps, greases and food residue.

Good to know

Industrial water

Process and wash water. Its content depends on the operation: oils and greases, solids or chemicals.

Treatment technologies

The solutions include filtration, clarification systems, biological treatment, dewatering, disinfection, ion exchange, reverse osmosis and other technologies to remove impurities from water.

Good to know

Clarification and filtration

Clarification lets suspended solids settle or float so that they can be removed; filtration retains the finer particles that remain.

Good to know

Biological treatment

Microorganisms consume the dissolved organic matter. It is the core of most sewage treatment plants.

Good to know

Dewatering

Reduces the water content of the sludge that the treatment produces, so that it takes up less volume and is easier to handle.

Good to know

Disinfection

Eliminates pathogens before discharge, typically with chlorine, ultraviolet light or ozone.

Good to know

Ion exchange

Resins capture dissolved ions, such as hardness or metals, and release others in their place.

Good to know

Reverse osmosis

Pressure forces the water through a semi-permeable membrane that retains dissolved salts and contaminants.

Design, construction, rental and maintenance

We cover the whole life of a treatment plant: its design, its construction, its rental and its maintenance. Along with the plant comes the engineering and know-how to bring it to its best performance.

Aquifers and cooling water

Aquifer remediation

We can also install plants for the remediation of underground aquifers, to clean up any type of groundwater contamination.

Cooling water

The service includes products for the treatment of cooling water in towers and chillers.

Reference standards

Reference standards commonly applied in the sector. They are listed for orientation and do not replace the specification of each project.

Decreto 883 (Venezuela)
Rules for the classification and quality control of water bodies and of liquid discharges or effluents.
ISO 14001
Environmental management systems: requirements with guidance for use.
